Dear Potential Donor,

We believe that social skills are the most important skills in one's life - and are even more important than fancy titles and one's profession! Great communicators and exceptional listeners have a strong likelihood of being successful, regardless of how far they went in school or what their profession may be. That's why we are reaching out to you today on behalf of Safe Social Space LLC, a behavioral health agency dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities through social skills training and community integration.

As you may know, inadequate social skills and failure to integrate with the community are major concerns for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. At Safe Social Space LLC, we work to train our clients on pro-social skills, increase their quality of life, and create opportunities for them to connect with others and foster positive relationships. We offer age-appropriate groups for individuals with social deficits, including Asperger's Syndrome, as well as those with socially-related difficulties.

We are proud to offer scholarships to at least 20 families in need who may not be in a position to afford overnight camp fees, behavioral and social skills training, and community integration programs. These services are not covered by insurance, and the costs of caring for Americans with autism had reached $268 billion in 2015, with the majority of costs in adult services. Medical expenditures for children and adolescents with ASD were also 4.1 to 6.2 times greater than for those without autism. It's clear that social skills training needs will vary at different developmental stages, and we're here to provide the support and guidance needed every step of the way.

We hope that you will consider supporting our cause and helping us make a difference in the lives of those with autism and other developmental disabilities. Together, we can help build stronger communities by fostering positive relationships and creating opportunities for all individuals to reach their full potential.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

  • Sincerely,
  • Lati`a D. Johnson MS
